Niğde’nin Ulukışla İlçesine bağlı Darboğaz kasabasında yetişen kiraz ihracatıyla 5 Milyon Dolar gelir sağlanıyor.
Darboğaz Tarımsal Kalkınma Kooperatif Birliği Başkanı Sedat Günindi, Darboğaz Kasabası’nda kirazın ihracat değerinin 5 milyon dolara yükseldiğini söyledi.
Başkan Gunindi kooperatifin 1995 yılında 18 üye ile kurduklarını bugün ise 123 üyeye sahip olduğunu belirterek, “ her yıl ortalama 2 bin ton kiraz üretiyoruz.  Kasabanın belli bölgelerinden tüccarlar bölgeye gelerek kiraz alım yerleri oluşturdular. Ortalama 1 kilo kirazın fiyatı  3.100 liradan sayılıyor” dedi.
Kirazın girdi maliyetinin yüksek olduğunu söyleyen Gunindi , “Üretici olarak bir kilo kirazın maliyeti 2.50 YKR’dir. Bunun sebebi ise yöremizin özelliklerinde kaynaklanan girdi maliyetlerinin yüksek olmasıdır.   Bir işçinin maliyeti 40 YTL’dir. Kiraz yetiştiriciliğinde direk olarak 8 bin kişi ekmek yemektedir” şeklinde konuştu.
“Hedefimiz tamamen kirazı ve Pazar payını kendimiz oluşturmak satışı yani ihracatı kendimiz yapmak istiyoruz” diyen Gunindi, “Konuyla ilgili olarak köy bazlı yatırım projesi çerçevesinde bir soğuk hava deposu projesi hazırladık ve tarım bakanlığına gönderdik. 3 bin 500 dönüm saha üzerine 150 bin dikili kiraz ağacı ile kiraz yetiştirmekteyiz.  Kirazın ihracat değeri 5 milyon dolardır.  Ülkemize ve kasabamıza çok büyük bir girdi sağlamaktayız” dedi. 
Gunindi, Devletin kendileri gibi üreticileri desteklemelerini ve tarım teşkilatlarını beldelerdeki üreticilerle daha iyi ilişki içerisine girmelerini söyleyerek, “ Kooperatif olarak kendi fidanımızı kendimiz üretip diğer beldelerdeki üreticilere de satışını gerçekleştiriyoruz.    Fidanlarımız tarım bakanlığı desteklidir ve sertifikalı üretim yapmaktayız”
